Now, before you go and get some eggs, you need to know that this acne remedy is not applicable to everyone. This is not recommended to those who have sensitive skin and well-developed pimples; better check with your dermatologist first if you want to use it to determine if you can deal with it or not.
Moving on, egg yolk is a very effective acne remedy because of its vitamin A content. Vitamin A is known to help keep a healthy skin; this is why, most commercial skin care products contain this substance. Papaya, which is one of the commonly used home remedies for acne is also rich in this. Moreover, egg yolk also contains a substance called albumin, which is effective in drying skin and tightening pores.
In using egg yolk as an acne remedy, you would first need to completely separate the yolk from the egg white. When done, mix it with a small amount of water and then apply it on your face just like a face mask. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly; make sure that you have totally eliminated the yolk from your face. Finally, wash your face again using a mild facial cleanser to finish the ritual. You may repeat the process at least twice a week.
There are many natural remedies for acne but not all of them will work for you. Just like the commercial ones, it all depends on your skin’s reaction and sensitivity. So, before trying them out, be sure to consult your dermatologist first.
